Michael
Stone is President of Stone & Associates, Inc., a strategic
management consulting firm focused on industrial and
business-to-business markets. Stone & Associates assists clients in
making strategic decisions by conducting detailed research and analysis
on markets and competitors, and by modeling costs and profitability.
Prior to Stone & Associates, Mr. Stone was a Managing Consultant at
Telesis, the strategic consulting arm of Towers Perrin. He was educated
at Brown University, where he received a degree in Development Studies.
Mr.
Stone’s consulting experience has included assignments with Fortune
1000 manufacturing companies, as well as government and nonprofit
organizations that serve manufacturing markets. His corporate consulting
experience has involved projects based on strategic market analysis,
competitive cost assessment and strategy, procurement strategy/supply
chain management, and cost and profitability modeling. Mr. Stone’s
assignments have required an understanding of markets and competitors in
North America, Europe, and Asia.
His
public sector work has included a series of major projects for the
National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Manufacturing
Extension Partnership (MEP), a national network that provides small
manufacturing firms with consulting assistance in adopting advanced
manufacturing technologies and leading management practices. His team
generated groundbreaking work on small manufacturing customers/markets,
identified strategic implications for best serving these customers, and
helped MEP and their affiliates to implement the recommendations. Mr.
Stone recently completed another study, which identified proven
strategies used by successful manufacturers to compete against China and
other low-cost countries.
Most
recently, Mr. Stone completed a procurement project with The William
Jefferson Clinton Foundation where he was instrumental in forging an
agreement with leading generic pharmaceutical companies in India and
South Africa. The landmark agreement will provide a major reduction—up
to 50%—in the price of key HIV/AIDS drugs for millions of people in
Africa and the Caribbean.

Kelly-McCabe
Melissa S. Kelly-McCabe, President and CEO of
Clear Intent Strategy,
Inc., is a strategist, business advisor, and dynamic public speaker. Having worked in industry and with corporate executives for nearly twenty years, she has assisted hundreds of leaders and boards create clarity of strategy, cause positive and lasting change, and realize their visions. With hands-on experience in manufacturing, engineering and private and public service organizations, Melissa's reach spans hundreds of manufacturers, non-profit firms, and industrial economic development corporations in 50 states, Canada, and the Caribbean. Prior to forming Clear Intent Strategy, Melissa held positions with WNY Technology Development Center, Inc., Price Waterhouse LLP, and General Motors Corporation, and was a guest lecturer at George Washington University and University at Buffalo. Melissa was an assistant to Dr. W. Edwards Deming for five years, researching thinking processes and teaching groups about Deming management principles. (Dr. Deming is credited with transforming Japanese management principles and causing the quality revolution.)
Melissa holds a Masters of Science in Organization Systems, focusing on Change Processes, from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelors degree in Statistics, minor in Industrial Engineering, from the University at Buffalo. Memberships include International Coach Federation, International Association of Facilitators; OD Network, and the Gestalt Institute Working Group.

Rickson
Norene
Rickson has been a strategy consultant for 17 years. She worked
for 14 years at Telesis, Inc. (part of Towers Perrin), a corporate
strategy consulting firm located in Providence, RI. She has
experience in manufacturing and marketing strategy, and extensive
experience interviewing customers, equipment vendors and material
suppliers in the U.S., Asia and Europe. Before joining Telesis she
was an analyst for The Rhode Island League of Cities and Towns and
taught economics at the University of Rhode Island (CCE). Ms.
Rickson holds a Master of Arts in Economics, as well as an
advanced degree in Library and Information Sciences.
